BEIRUT (Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Russian Mufti Muhammad Rakhimov said here on Saturday that the message of Islam is a call for peace, love and harmony among all people.
Mufti Rakhimov made the remarks during a meeting with Lebanese Mufti Sheikh Dr. Mohammad Rasheed Qabbani.
Rakhimov stressed the importance of religous coopertion between Russia and Lebanon in order to strengthen the ties of Muslims in both nations.
He also expressed his keenness to send students from Russia to learn Arabic language and Islamic sciences in Lebanon.
Later, the Russian Mufti visited the Faculty of Islamic Sharia in Beirut Islamic University of Dar Al-Fatwa, where he met with the Dean Sheikh Anas Tabbara and discussed the educational curriculum that is taught to students in Lebanon.
He also visited the public library of Dar Al-Fatwa, and other mosques in the capital of Beirut, where he was able to meet senior religous figures.
